    Default Bye to Sunoco

Hey guys, if you running Ultra 94,changes are coming. All the Sunoco gas stations are closing down as Suncor is amalgamating with PetroCanada.

    Read about it here.

    Sunoco 94 sucked anyway....

I was running it on a previous turbocharged engine build, that would ping starting with a low boost level.

One day I was short on cash, and put in Petro Can's 91, and the truck never ran better, no more ping, cheaper, and seemed to run smoother too, so I switched to Petro Can 91 from then on.

My boosted car is now setup for 91 as 94 is not always available. Back in my highcompression weber days, I would have to back off the timing a bit if I ran 91. But on some of our hot August track days, I would add a bottle of octane booster to my 94 for some piece of mind. It didn't like 91 at WOT for long periods of time.

Anyone with a highstrung engine may have to tone it back a degree or two for some safety.
If Boost were addictive, I'd be in trouble...oh oh.

well that sucks i had herd about the merge back in the summer but didn't see this coming. i have been running 94 since day one of owning both my nissans the altima and the 300zx and i haven't had any problems with either motor. i have had to use petro 91 a couple times and found that on the full tank i was actually getting worse MPG then with the 94 but who know i tend to drive them both hard and im not a stickler on my MPG i just liked to know which one got me better and IMO 94 takes it

What about Shell 91, the one thing I like about it is no ethanol.

FYI, although Sunoco stations will be rebranded or closed, Petro-Canada will be selling 94 octane at some stations.

^^ that's good to hear i just thing for the highest octane possible min 91+ might as well have her burn clean rather then sludgy, which is why i prefer 94

    Default coupons & cards

I guess we should use up our coupons & credit cards before there're valueless instead of keeping for emergency!

I just realized before I switched to Shell I had a couple hundred thousand petro points...94 octane here I come until my points run out.
